A Message to Our Consumers:

Dear Fox DVD Consumer,

On May 5, 2006, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment (TCFHE) began a voluntary recall of approximately 750,000 charms that were manufactured in China and distributed throughout the U.S. and Canada beginning in August, 2005. These silver-colored charms were a "Gift with Purchase" to consumers and included inside the DVD box of certain Shirley Temple movies. These specific DVDs were packaged in distinctive pink boxes, which had stickers showing the charm that was inside the box.

Once TCFHE learned of the hazard posed by the charms, the company immediately contacted the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to effect this voluntary recall. We are extremely grateful that there are no injuries reported relating to these charms.

As part of this recall, TCFHE is working cooperatively with regulators and officials in the United States and Canada to reach consumers through a variety of means including news releases, media reports, toll-free telephone lines, web sites, in-store posters, and direct contact. The company has alerted its retailers, to make sure they are aware of the recall and the appropriate recall procedures.

We thank our customers and our consumers for their patience and support during this voluntary recall. Please know that we remain committed to ensuring the safety and quality of all of our products.

You can access information and color photos of the recalled products on the CPSC web site at www.cpsc.gov or click through below for more detailed information.
